Betsy Ross is the president of Game Day Communications, a sports PR and events company. She was one of the first women to anchor sports on a national platform at ESPN, and continues to cover sports at the Fox affiliate in Cincinnati. Betsy's book, "Playing Ball with the Boys," features women who have made firsts in the male-dominated field of sports.

A veteran journalist with more than 25 years of experience, Oseye (pronounced O-she-uh) Boyd is editor-in-chief of Mirror Indy, a nonprofit news organization created to fill gaps in local news coverage in Indianapolis. Before joining Mirror Indy, Oseye was public engagement editor for IndyStar. She spearheaded the Black Community Advisory Council and launched the podcast, Voices of the Community. She was formerly editor of the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper and Indiana Minority Business Magazine.

Sara McInerney Hauck is a communications consultant living in Indianapolis with her husband and dog. She’s a two-time TEDx Speaker, podcast host and recently self-published author. She graduated in 2014 and loved every moment of her time at Ball State. Sara was involved in Cardinal Communications, the Office of Admissions in multiple roles and the Homecoming Committee. Today, you’ll find her cruising around Indianapolis on her hot pink electric bike, writing at coffee shops and booking her next trip.

Cameron Ridle may be a familiar name, face and voice to central Indiana. He is a Morning Show Reporter at FOX59 News and CBS4 News in Indianapolis. He is also the host of his own radio talk show called, “Open Lines with Cameron Ridle” which airs on 106.7 WTLC and HOT 100.9.
Cameron has also been an news anchor and reporter at TV stations in Flint, Michigan and Phoenix, Arizona.

Leo Caldwell is an esteemed LGBTQ+ educator and speaker, specializing in addressing issues within the trans community. With a wealth of experience, he has delivered presentations to diverse audiences, ranging from the Gannett USA TODAY Network and the University of Oregon to local fire and police departments, as well as numerous non-profit and youth organizations. He is an assistant lecturer in the School of Journalism and Strategic Communication at Ball State and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Journalism and Digital Storytelling.

Sam Hanley, the 2022 Ella Sengenberger Indiana Student Media Adviser of the Year, is an award-winning yearbook adviser at Southport High School in Indianapolis, a position he has held since 2003. In addition to advising The Anchor yearbook, he teaches English, serves as department chairperson, and coaches the boys golf team. Hanley teaches at Indiana University's High School Journalism Institute in the summer and is current president of the Indiana High School Press Association.

Bobby Ellis is an award-winning photographer and editor for the Division of Marketing and Communications at Ball State University. Prior to Ball State, Bobby worked as a professional and freelance photojournalist across the Midwest. His images have appeared in the New York Times, the BBC, CNN, and been featured by National Geographic. He’s photographed the Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup, a plethora of professional and collegiate sports, the Brickyard 400, a total solar eclipse, and a three-day cattle drive through the grasslands of Kenya.
